About Rhonda

I have been dabbling in photography since my High School days when I was on the school yearbook committee. My uncle bought me my first 35mm camera (Minolta XG-1) when I was a senior in High School. I enjoyed shooting nature and animals and won several local photo contests at West Virginia University where I was majoring in Computer Science. I graduated with a BS in Computer Science and have been working in the IT industry ever since.

After college, I put my camera away for a while as I concentrated on getting started in my career. Then in 1996 my husband and I started skydiving. I pulled my old XG-1 out of the closet, dusted it off and started shooting skydiving photos. I wanted to buy a better camera, one that I could get good lenses for, so I purchased a Minolta Maxxum along with several lenses. I had my first photographs published in Skydiving magazine in 2000.

I have always loved horses and in 2000, my daughter started riding at Topline Equestrian Center in Woodinville, WA. I started photographing her and my interest in Equine Photography has grown into what I hope will be become a small side business for me in the future. I have taken lots of photos of friends and their horses in the past 6 years and have recently started doing some commission work.

I have gone totally digital and currently shoot with a Canon 20D and a Canon Digital Rebel.
